Report prototype 7

PEO-model prototype 7

Prototype 7 was tested at the home of Obe. Nika and Adam put the prototype on Obe. This prototype is the finalized product. Because of it’s simple design its very comfortable for Obe and he keeps the aid on. We did a playsession with Obe in the yard and here he didn’t pull off the aid. He used the aid as he climbed on the slide and went down it. No issues with the aid was found during this playsession.

In obe’s environment were Nika(IPO-student), Adam(IPO-student) and Obe’s mother.

We put Obe in the charter: ‘flow’. We did this because Obe could participate and play while having good vision with an aid that was comfortable and didn’t disturb him.

Final product 1,2,3

This is the  prototype that worked
I made this one on spot and tested

Here is the video

°   Probleem with this helmet was that it was to big
so we had to make it as minimalistic possible.

We removed the stuff we didn't need;

°  first ptoyotype looked like this, we only keept the front piece and the frame of helmet

Now it was done and looked like this
we needed front side because we could easily glue the PVC sheet in, and in made space from the face.

  After discations
we needed to give it  more cleaner look  and use all standard parts so that it could be build by anyone.

So we came up whit this
we got rid off the forn foam piece

We used velcro on the sides so it would be easy to ajust
Inside we used extra soft foam  for more confort and to eleminate scrwe  heads

We  did the same with front side.

And we used rubber cilinders in between the PVC sheet and the helmet frame. we mouted them with  screws inside  and bolts  outside

Make sure you check our instractables there  you wil find more details about the product itself.

Report prototype 6

PEO-model prototype 6
Prototype 6 was tested at the home of Obe. Nika and Obe's mom put the prototype on Obe's head. To do this they had to put his glasses on with a cord at the back. Then they put a bikehelmet on and a visor in front of the glasses. The visor stops Obe from pulling the glasses and doesn't limit his vision.

When the prototype was being put on he offered some resistance but after a couple of minutes he calmed down.

When he calmed down they played for 25 minutes on the slide in his yard. During the playsession Obe didn't pull off the prototype and had good vision.

Around Obe were Nika(IPO student) and his mom.

We put Obe in the charter 'Flow' because after he was calmed down he didn't resist the prototype anymore and was able to do a playsession without being bothered by it. Also he was able to see well.

From last week we decided to make something that prevents Obe to get to his glasses.
First ideas were a astronaut helmet or pilot helmet/faceprotection, based on movie  Wonder.

I have no media files for this week. We tried a cap with glasses and one with headphones none of them worked. I recorded everything but it was too long and my phone crashed !
